to the land of tuna

The General Santos Fish Port Complex (GSFPC), covering an area of 11 hectares, is strategically located in Barangay Tambler, General Santos City in South Cotabato. GSFPC is 32 km. South of the city proper, along the shores of Sarangani Bay.The construction of General Santos Fish Port Complex(GSFPC) was funded by Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund(OECF) of Japan.

Tuna is among the 200 or so species of fish found in the country that have high commercial value. The Philippines ranks 7th among the top tuna producing countries in the world, both in terms of fresh/frozen tuna and canned tuna.
